St. Union Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson will continue its fall revival Thursday, (tonight), Oct. 9 and end Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Dave Adams will be the evangelist for the week. Deacon Jesse J. Robinson is the chairperson.

St. Peter Baptist Church of Allen will continue its revival Thursday, (tonight), Oct. 9 and end Friday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Rev. Marcus Kelly of The Word of Truth Fellowship Church of Jackson will be the evangelist for the week.

MPACT ALABAMA, a state student ministries sponsored youth event, is planned for Clarke Baptist Association, Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11. It is designed for students from 7th grade through college. On Friday, Oct. 10th at 6:30 p.m. students from Clarke Prep will be giving out cups of cold water, tracts and youth rally flyers at the Clarke Prep-Meadowview football game in Grove Hill. Students from other county schools are urged to plan similar activities. On Saturday, Oct. 11 students will meet at Camp Morvin Baptist Assembly, to paint a bathroom and possibly the entrance to the building. They are asked to bring a snack/sack lunch. Youth leaders could plan a local outreach event on Saturday afternoon, a sports clinic for disadvantaged children of low income families, construction/painting, yard work or an evangelistic block party. Also on the 11th there will be an Associational Youth Rally at the Tompkins Baptist Church beginning at 6 p.m. The program will include Praise and Worship, Baptist Campus Ministries presentation (University of South Alabama) and drama. Students are asked to bring canned meats and breakfast foods for the Associational Care Center Food Pantry. All Clarke County youth are especially invited to attend.

Cedar Fork Baptist Church-The New Beginning Cedar Fork Baptist Church of Suggsville will have its annual homecoming and revival services beginning Sunday, Oct. 12 at noon. The revival services will begin Monday, Oct. 13 through Friday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. The evangelist for the week will be Elder Theodore Law, pastor of the Full Gospel Apostolic Church of God of St. Stephens. Rev. Leroy Jenkins is the pastor.

Chance Baptist Church will have its annual homecoming and revival beginning Sunday, Oct. 12. The homecoming program will begin at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Darryl Evans will be the guest speaker. Revival services will begin Monday, Oct. 13 through Friday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Calvin Finch will be the evangelist for the week. Rev. C.L. Marshall is the pastor.

Spencer Chapel A.M.E. Church of Fulton will have its Pastor’s Appreciation Program for Rev. and Sis. W.T. Lesueur Sunday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. Rev. Ivory James, choir and congregation of Greater New Hope A.M.E. Church of Millry will be the special guests.

The Clarke Baptist Association will have a "Celebrate Your Church" conference Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Associational Office in Grove Hill. The conference is for all pastors, ministerial staff personnel and other interested church members. "Celebrate Your Church" is a comprehensive, simple approach for a church to focus on future possibilities by taking a clear look at where they have been, where they are and where God is leading in the future. Dr. Edwin Jenkins, Director of the Office of Leadership/Church Growth, Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions of Montgomery, will lead the conference.

Okalona Methodist Protestant Church is having homecoming services Sunday, Oct. 19 with Rev. Kenneth Graham bringing the message. The Melody Masters will be singing in the afternoon following lunch. Rev. Ron Giles is the pastor.

Mt. Zion Baptist Church will observe its annual church anniversary Sunday, Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. Rev. Jeffrey Thrash of Goodwill Ministries of Mobile will be the guest speaker. Rev. Cory J. Pruitt is the pastor.

Walker Springs Cemetery Association’s annual meeting will be held Sunday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Mount Gilead Church. Anyone having an interest in either Mount Gilead or Hopewell Cemetery in Walker Springs is urged to meet and plan for its upkeep of the two cemeteries.

Spencer Chapel A.M.E. Church’s Youth Department of the W.M.S. will sponsor a fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. on the church grounds. There will be food, games, fun. Elder W.T. Leuseur is the pastor.

Gainestown United Methodist Church located at 886 Madison Road will observe its annual homecoming Sunday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. Dinner will be held on the grounds following the morning worship service.

The Church of God of Prophecy of Grove Hill will have a special series on Revelations with Rev. Jim DeWitt as the preacher. Services begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings and 6 p.m. Sunday evenings.
