Mount Olive #2 Baptist Church of Jackson will have its 133rd Annual Session of the Free Mission District Association and the 101st Annual Session of the Free Mission District Woman’s Department Friday, Oct. 22 and Saturday, Oct 23. Rev. D.W. Moore is the pastor. The host church is the Morning Star Baptist Church of Uriah with Rev. R. Keith Lett as the pastor.
Nicholsville Church of God to hold singing
Nicholsville Church of God will have a benefit singing for Steve Lynn who has M.S., Saturday, Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. featuring The Revelators. Plates will be available at 5 p.m.
Pine Chapel #2 to honor deacon
Pine Chapel Baptist Church No. 2 will have its Minister of Music Appreciation for Deacon Charles Johnson Sunday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. Rev. Derrick Powell and the Good Hope Baptist Church will the special guests.
James Chapel to have homecoming
James Chapel Baptist Church of Barlow Bend will have its annual homecoming and revival services Sunday, Oct. 24 at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Millender will deliver the message. Revival services will begin Monday, Oct. 25 through Thursday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. Rev. Ywell Cunningham, pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church of Monroeville will be the evangelist for the week.
GH Methodist to hold carnival
Grove Hill United Methodist Church will have its Family Fall Carnival Sunday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. The children are working hard on Wednesday nights preparing crafts to be sold at the country store during the Fall Family Carnival. The church is asking people to donate crafts or any other items for the country store. Proceeds from the country store will be donated to help Hurricane Ivan victims. So bring your money to buy items from the country store and help others. There will be games to collect pennies for the Society of St. Andrews to feed the hungry. This year the games will include bowling, duck pond, basketball toss, etc. There will be kids favorite activities such as the jumping balloon. There will be new activities added to make it enjoyable for all ages. Dinner will be provided for your family at no cost. Admission price is to bring one can of food per person. This will be an opportunity to invite a new family from the community to have family fun at minimal cost.
Lily Baptist revival dates set
The Lily Baptist Church of Fulton has rescheduled its annual homecoming and revival services for Sunday, Oct. 31 at 2:30 p.m. The special guest will be Rev. W.T. Lesueur, pastor of the Spencer Chapel A.M.E. Church of Fulton, his choir and congregation. The evangelist for the week will be Rev. William H. Sharp II, pastor of the Midway Baptist Church of Dickinson. Services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly. Visiting churches that received a correspondence letter for revival services that were scheduled earlier, if you can’t come on the night that you were asked either night of the revival will be appreciated. Rev. Wiley McMillian is the pastor.
GH Methodist to have ‘Children’s Sabbath’
Grove Hill United Methodist Church will have its “Children’s Sabbath” Sunday, Oct. 31 during the 11 a.m. worship service. The special speaker will be Lemmie Roberts, 11-year-old. She is from St. Stephens and preached at Annual Conference this year. The children will be singing and helping to lead the worship service. This will be a special experience that you will not want to miss. Mt. Zion #2 to hold conference
Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church will have its women’s conference Saturday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. The theme will be “Women of Destiny.” All women are asked to come share with them. Sis. Diane Chapman is the chairperson and Rev. Cory J. Pruitt is the pastor.

Pine Chapel Baptist Church No. 2 will have its Matron’s Day Sunday, Nov. 14 at 3 p.m. Rev. Mulvory Taylor and the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Walker Springs will be the guests for this occasion.
Truevine Baptist installation service set Truevine Baptist Church of Dickinson will have an installation service for Rev. Rodrick Scott on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. Rev. Barry Coleman of Jackson will be the speaker.
