Many criminal court cases settled prior to court week Eighty-six criminal cases were settled in Clarke County Circuit Court Oct. 4-7 with two attempted murder cases nol prossed by motion of the district attorney. The settlements were a preliminary to next week’s trial court. Louis Lester Robinson Jr. was charged with attempted murder after firing a shotgun at another man during an argument in Grove Hill. Robbie Michael Wilson was charged with attempted murder after shooting a man in the back whom he suspected was trying to steal electricity from him. The man was apparently renting Wilson’s trailer next door to his home in Thomasville.
Other cases settled during the week were: Derrick Jermaine Alexander, possession, sale, rent or receiving illegal recordings, guilty plea, two year suspended sentence, two years probation, $500 fine. Kevin Ray Barnett, breaking/entering vehicle, dismissed. Floyd Damario Bernard, possession of controlled substance, guilty plea, 10 year suspended sentence, five years probation. Regina Louise Biggs, fraudulent use of credit card, guilty plea, eight year suspended sentence, five years probation; three counts fraudulent use of credit card, dismissed. Monica Bradley, use/possession of drug paraphernalia, dismissed; unlawful manufacturing of controlled substance, guilty plea, 10 year suspended sentence, five years probation. Dennie Lee Bramlett, unlawful manufacturing of controlled substance, guilty plea, one year sentence, nine year suspended sentence, five years probation. Jamillah Rehieem Brown, possession, sale, rent or receiving illegal recordings, guilty plea, two year suspended sentence, two year probation, $500 fine. Reco Jermaine Campbell, two probation revocation, probation not revoked. Angela Champion, theft of property, first degree, guilty plea, 10 year suspended sentence, five years probation. Shawn Coston, assault, second degree, nol prossed. Latanga T. Cummins, possession of forged instrument, guilty plea, two year suspended sentence, two years probation. Bryan David Dyar, unlawful manufacturing of controlled substance, guilty plea, five year suspended sentence, five years probation. Christopher Edgar, domestic violence, third degree/reckless endangerment, dismissed; criminal mischief, first degree, guilty plea, 18 month sentence, eight year, six month suspended sentence, five years probation; probation revocation, probation not revoked. Kellie Forrester, unlawful manufacturing of controlled substance, guilty plea, 10 year suspended sentence, five years probation. Ben F. Griffin Jr., assault, third degree, one year suspended sentence, two years probation. Demarcus Grimes, possession of controlled substance, guilty plea, four year suspended sentence, four years probation; possession of marijuana, first degree, dismissed.
