Albert F. Williams, 71, of Atmore died April 8, 2006.
He was born June 16, 1934 in Monroe County to the late Willis G. and Minnie Lee Brooks Williams.
He was retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. His medals were Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, Alabama Commendation Medal, Alabama Veteran's Service Medal, Alabama Faithful Service with Silver Cross.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Tolbert Williams; one son, Albert Jason, (Jennifer) Williams, both of Atmore; two daughters, Judy Williams (Rev. Jerry) May, Grove Hill, Julia Williams (Tony) Stroud, Atmore; eight brothers, Buddy Williams, Franklin, LeRoy Williams, Gene Williams, both of Mineola, Don Williams, McCullough, David Williams, Goodway, Charles Williams, Castleberry, Willis Williams Jr., Monroeville, Otis Flowers, Mexia; five sisters, Orbineze Day, McCullough, Bobbie Corey, Mexia, Louise Gibson, Perdue Hill, Montez McMillian, Little River, Maricie Howard, Excel; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
The service was May 10 at 10 a.m. at the Popular Springs Baptist Church in Uriah with Rev. Richard Daniels officiating. Burial was in the Popular Springs Cemetery with full military honors. Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Inc. of Atmore directed.
