Thomas Earl Wimberly, 51, of Jackson died June 15, 2006 in a Mobile hospital.
He was born Dec. 30, 1954. He was a native of Mobile. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson. He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, North American Hunting Club and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He was employed at Boise Paper Mill as an operator.
Survivors include his father, Earl Wimberly, Carlton, his mother, Jessie Wimberly, Carlton; his wife, Janet C. Wimberly, Jackson; one son, "Robby" Hentschel, Jackson; two daughters, "Candy" Hentschel, Heather Cora Wimberly, both of Jackson; two brothers, Billy Wimberly, Carlton, Bobby Joe Wimberly, Mobile; two grandchildren.
The service was June 17 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Jackson. Burial was in Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
Memorials may be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home or the Diabetes Association.
Active pallbearers were Douglas Beverly, Robin Beverly, Kent Jones, Chris Newton, Corey Roberts and Hunter Stanley.
Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Anderson, Roger Barnes, Sam Ervin, Little Chris Newton and Joe Overstreet.
