John Alba Moore Sr., 83, of Thomasville died June 16, 2006 at Southwest Alabama Medical Center in Thomasville.
He was born April 24, 1923 in Mt. Sterling. He was a member of the Jackson Pentecostal Church. He was the owner of Moore's Country Store.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Gann Moore, Thomasville; one son, John A. Moore Jr., Morvin; two daughters, Patricia Knight, Thomasville, Gloria McIntyre, Jackson; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
The service was June 19 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Ronald Rivers and Raymond Williams officiating. Burial was in the Forest Springs Cemetery in Morvin.
Active pallbearers were John A. Moore III, Allen Moore, Brian Crumpton, Mark Rush, Ronny Gann and Al Champion.
Honorary pallbearers were Edwin Ford, Morris Knight, Coleman Knight, Tom McIntyre, Jerry Harvell and Charlie Moore.
