Vaughn Clayton Bradley, 79, of Jackson died Aug. 16, 2006 in a Mobile area hospital.

He was born Nov. 8, 1926. He was a member of Peniel Baptist Church. He was a retired Equipment Superintendent for Coach, Inc.

Survivors include his wife, Earline M. Bradley, Jackson; one son, Kenneth Bradley, Sanford, Fla.; two daughters, Sue Smithson, Alvin, Texas, Ronda Gordon, Jackson; four brothers, Armond Bradley, Neal Bradley, both of Jackson, Oren "Buster" Bradley, Birmingham, Henry Bradley Jr., Saraland; three sisters, Mae McLendon, Lois Elmore, both of Jackson, Elmerline Jackson, Thomasville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

The service was Aug. 18 at 10 a.m. at Peniel Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Moses officiating. Burial was in the Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery in Jackson. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.


Ruby Porter Sullivan, 85, of Wagarville (for 44 years) died Aug. 17, 2006 at a Mobile hospital. She was born July 2, 1921. She was a native of Prichard.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin (Lisa) Sullivan, Larry (Shelby) Sullivan, all of Wagarville; one daughter, Elaine (Wilson) Beesley, Satsuma; two brothers, Bobby Busby, Mobile, Freddie Porter, South Carolina; four sisters, Josephine Bailey, Jewel Bertolotti, Mobile, Delia (Bruce) McDonald, Monroeville, Faye (Claude) Sheffield of Mexia; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nephews, nieces and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, James Owen Sullivan Sr., two sons, James Owen Sullivan Jr. (Jimmy) and John Michael Sullivan.

The service was Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Wagarville. Burial was in the Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery in Wagarville. Lathan Funeral Home of Jackson directed.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Active pallbearers were John Keith, Doug Flowers, Jim Wheat, Buddy Wheat, Jim Callen and Jack Greer.


Shirley Marie Wade, 54, of Jackson died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006 at her residence. She was a native of Owensboro, KY.

Mrs. Wade was a retired nurse and a member of the First Pentacostal Church in Jackson.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Wade, Jackson; on son, Joseph Wade, Jackson; three brothers, Don Mattingly, Charleston, IN, Tommy Mattingly, Frankfurt, KY and Gerald W. Mattingly, Forth Worth, TX; two sisters Carla Buchold, Evansville, IN and Bonnie Vandunk, Newburg, IN; three grandchildren.

The service and visitation will be Thursday (today), at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., in the chapel with the Rev. Ronlad Rivers officiating.

Internment will be in the Cantuche Cemetery between Salitp and Coffeeville.

Milton Clay Jordan, 76, of Lamison died Aug. 20, 2006 at Camden Nursing Facility.

He was born July 31, 1930 in Surginer. He was a member of the Lamison Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was the owner/operator of a trucking business.

Survivors include six sons Robert Wyatt "Buddy" (Linda) Jordan,Leonard Allen (Carla) Jordan, both of Arlington, Jimmy Ray (Diane) Jordan, Camden, Rodney Lynn (Rena) Jordan, Lamison, Milton Clyde (Angie) Jordan, Thomasville, James Clayton Jordan, Magnolia; three daughters Pat J. (Joe) McGilberry, June J. (Barry) Parker, both of Lamison, Evelyn J. Morton, Miller's Ferry; one brother Bennie Clyde Jordan, Lamison; four sisters Janell Criswell, Jackson, Bettie Carolyn Shields, Miller's Ferry, Willene Autery, Geraldine Ledbetter, both of Prattville; former wife Nell S. Martin, Lamison; special friend, Maynita Weatherly, Pine Hill, 22 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth Jordan and parents, Wyatt Franklin Jordan and Ollie Mae Sealy Jordan.

The service was held at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at 10:00 am with Rev. Leon Harris officiating. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery, in Magnolia, AL.

Pallbearers included Heath Parker, Darren McGilberry, Clayton Parker, Jamie Jordan, William Morton, Lance Jordan, Blake Jordan, and Auston Jordan. Honorary Pallbearers included Ronnie Stokes, Mack Bradford, Jerry Wayne Etheridge, Bruce Flowers, Joe Flowers, Billy Wayne Morton and Charles Morton.


Jonetta Edgar, 45, of Zimco died Aug. 16, 2006 at her residence.

She was born April 19, 1961. She was a member of the Pentacostal Church of God in Zimco.

Survivors include her mother, Roseanna Dickinson, Zimco; her husband, Frazier Edgar Sr., Grove Hill; three sons, Jeraine Edgar, Christopher Edgar, Frazier Edgar Jr., all of Zimco; three daughters, Christina Edgar, Shaquatta Edgar, both of Zimco, Shaquanna Edgar, Germany; five sisters, Dianna Dickinson, Thomasville, Lisa Dickinson Malone, Karene Dickinson, both of Grove Hill, Darlene Calhoun, Walker Springs, Lorene Dickinson, Jackson; four brothers, Evan Calhoun, Anamosa, Iowa, Edward Dickinson, Houston, Texas, Tracy Dickinson, Deon Dickinson, both of Grove Hill; eight grandchildren.

The service was Aug. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church in Grove Hill. Burial was in the Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church Cemetery. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
