Financial seminar hosted by Jackson churches Journey to Financial Freedom, a Crown Financial Ministries seminar sponsored by the First Baptist and First United Methodist churches of Jackson, Alabama will be held at the FUMC Christian Life Center on August 25 and 26 . The seminar presents God's principles of finance for the family. This seminar has been used by God to open the door to total financial freedom for thousands of Christian families. The Friday night session will begin at 7 p.m. and continue until 9 p.m., and the Saturday session will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 12:30 p.m. The cost is $20 per person. VFW Post meet VFW Post 5106 and its ladies auxiliary will hold their regular monthly meeting Monday, Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. Post members are invited and urged to come and attend this first meeting for the years 2006-2007. The programs and activities will be presented to everyone at this meeting.
