No, it isn't rain water

Employees of Grove Hill Waterworks worked quickly to repair a six-inch water main that burst last Friday, leaving the north side of Grove Hill without water for about four hours. According to utilities superintendent Bug Tarleton, they believe lightning struck the line a few days before and the leak, near Church Pews on Highway 43 North, became evident Friday morning. "We valved the line off and got it fixed as fast as we could. Normally something like that could take a lot longer, but we all got in there, got the line fixed and got the water turned back on that morning," Tarleton said. Photo by Jim Cox
