Domestic violence workshop slated here Aug. 25

The Alabama Coalition Against Domestic Violence will offer specialized training in Grove Hill on Friday, Aug. 25 for professionals across South Alabama who serve in law enforcement agencies and the court systems.

Designed to broaden knowledge and enhance effective application of the laws governing domestic violence, the training will be conducted from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Clarke County Courthouse. It will offer CEU's and CLE's and will be provided at no cost to those attending. A complimentary luncheon will be served at noon..

The event was arranged by Harriet's House, Inc., a program for victims of domestic violence that serves Choctaw, Clarke, Greene, Marengo and Sumter counties.
