Brown-Slayton to wed Sept. 9 in Fitzpatrick
Miss Brown is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lehman Brown Sr. and Mrs. Mary Emma Amason, and the late Mr. John Wesley Amason Jr., all of Ramer. Mr. Slayton is the grandson of the late Milton Leon Slayton of Jackson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Joseph Yerby of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Joseph Payne Lindsey Sr. of Grove Hill and the late Mrs. Billie Spidle Lindsey. He is a graduate of the University of West Alabama with a degree in environmental science. He is employed with Diamond Offshore Drilling of Houston, Texas. Miss Brown is a graduate of the University of West Alabama with an undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology. She also received her master's degree from the University of West Alabama in counseling and psychology. She is employed with Pineview Hospice of Livingston. The wedding will be an event of Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006 at Bucksnort Plantation in Fitzpatrick at 6 p.m. The reception will immediately follow the wedding.
