Anti-litter committee planning countywide cleanup Sept. 11-16

The Clarke County Citizens Against Littering Committee met Aug. 7 at the courthouse in Grove Hill.

A countywide cleanup week, "Litter Awareness Week," is being planned for Sept. 11-16.

Committee member Rita Wilson, who also served as the aesthetics committee chairman for the Clarke County Development Foundation, said the focus of the week will be education and motivation. Lula James will assist with the project as will other committee members.

The committee's next meeting will be Aug. 30 at 9 a.m.
