Sports Briefs CCHS QB Club to meet
The Clarke County High School QB Club will meet Monday. Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. at the field house at H.G. Prim Stadium. All members and anyone interested in joining is urged to attend.
Work day set for CPS
There will be a work day at Clarke Prep School's football field this Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. Workers are asked to bring weed-eaters, mowers, drills, saws, hammers and other yard working tools to help get the facility ready for the home opener against Patrician on Friday, Aug. 25. The Athletic Club will meet every Thursday during the season, the night before home games at the field at 6 p.m. Reserve seats for home are available for $15 each and can be purchased at the school.
Benefit softball tourney set
There will be a men's softball benefit tournament for John D. Bennett Saturday, Aug. 26 at 7 a.m. until at the Jackson Softball Complex located on Highway 43 next to New Era Cap Company. Mr. Bennett is a cancer patient. Entry fee is $130. For more information contact Clay Ready at 251-246-7691.
Reserved seating at CCHS
Reserved seats for all Clarke County High home football games are available. The cost is $10 per seat and can be purchased by calling 275-3368 or 636-2338.
