New debarker at Scotch mill

A new three-story debarker is being erected on the edge of the woodyard adjacent to Scotch Lumber Co.'s sawmill in Fulton. An elevated conveyor will move peeled logs over the public road to the mill. Scotch officers said the change is being implemented in part for better safety. There have been accidents in the past involving loaders moving logs across the street.
