Fulton native graduates from Penn State

Rheagan Officer, formerly of Fulton and a 1996 graduate of Thomasville High School, graduated from Pennsylvania State University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Social Sciences Aug. 3.

Officer is the daughter of Frances Rutledge Officer and Mark Officer and the granddaughter of the late Frankie Rutledge who served as the postmaster at Fulton for many years. She was a Dean's List student graduating with a cumulative grade point average of 3.61. Her exceptional academic performance at Penn State was recognized during her induction as a member into the Psi Chi and the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Societies for Psychology students.

Officer has accepted a position and will begin work in September as an Associate Counselor with a substance abuse treatment center in Philadelphia, Penn.
