County 911 taking Jax calls

Clarke County 911 Director Becky Neugent reported to board members Monday that the City of Jackson was paying to have the county's 911 service take Jackson's calls.

Jackson's 911 computer was struck by lightning recently and has not been replaced yet because of some wiring problems.

Air conditioning duct work is being run for the new 911 center in the courthouse.

Clarke County 911 answered 1.073 calls, responded to 477 cases, ran 446 drivers license numbers and 282 tag numbers.

Thomasville Police Department answered 153 calls.
