GH hospital workers oppose moving

Dear Editor,

We are writing concerning Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.

We are employees at the hospital and concerned citizens of Grove Hill. Grove Hill hospital is the secondest largest business in Grove Hill. We employ 162 employees with a payroll of $328,000 monthly. The hospital supports three rural health clinics in Grove Hill, Coffeeville and Fulton. Southern Oaks, the only Geriatric Psyche Unit in this region, is located in the southwest wing of the hospital The hospital houses Health Actions Physical Therapy and a cardiopulmonary rehabilitation unit. So, as you can see, if Grove Hill was to join Jackson in building a hospital closer to Jackson much would be lost for Grove Hill.

Should the hospitals combine, over half of our employees would be without a job and without funds to put back into Grove Hill.

We all need to support Grove Hill by supporting the second largest employer in Grove Hill. Please let our mayor and town council know that you support our hospital and would like to see it remain in Grove Hill.

Concerned employees,

Grove Hill Memorial Hospital
