Celebrating Our Heritage

J. W. Sales is celebrating 51 years of automobile sales and Sales Ford in Monroeville is marking its 40th anniversary this month.

Sales Ford Lincoln Mercury in Grove Hill is proud to be a part of this rich automotive heritage.

J. W. Sales grew up in the Flomaton, Ala.-Century, Fla. area. He started selling automobiles in Mobile in 1954 and purchased the Ford dealership in Monroeville in 1966 and Sales Ford Lincoln Mercury in Grove Hill in 2002.

J. W. Sales has been active in community organizations. He served as Governor of the Alabama District of Kiwanis and was one of the seven trustees on the Kiwanis International Board of Directors. He is also been active in the Monroeville Chamber of Commerce and has served on the board of directors of the University of Mobile. He is a past active deacon of the First Baptist Church of Monroeville.

Johnny Sales of Sales Ford Lincoln Mercury in Grove Hill congratulated his father on the milestone, saying he had learned a lot from him in the 33 years he has been in the automobile business. "Daddy always said if you take care of the customer, they will take care of you. That is what we have always done and what we always will do."
