New chef has Clarke ties

Chef Kirk Fell with Grand-mother Mae Paul

Glennon Curtis "Kirk" Fell recently graduated with Honors from Culinard of Virginia College in Birmingham.

He was on the Dean's and President's Lists and as an upperclassman, he was chosen by the Culinard faculty to serve as a Culinarian, mentoring underclassman. He is presently the Catering Manager of Crape Myrtles Restaurant in Homewood, (Birmingham) Alabama. He is a graduate of Wicksburg High School in Houston County.

He is the son of Elizabeth and Ray Fell of Dothan. Grandparents are Mary Esther and Raye Fell of Summerdale and the late Curtis Paul, formerly from Clarke County and Mae Fowler Paul, also of Clarke County, who now lives in Pell City. His grandfather, Curtis Paul was a cook/chef, who taught at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. He was also the Head of baking/pastries at Brookley Air Force Base in Mobile.

Fell is married to the former Julie Bridges of Pelham. They have two children, Hannah and Eli.
