'Gentle Giants' at Pecan Festival

The 19th Annual Mississippi Pecan Festival is Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1. This year the festival will again host a Draft Horse Exhibit and Farming Demonstrations. The event will give onlookers a chance to see these "Gentle Giants" both up close, in the draft stall area, and out in the field at work. The demonstrations will include teams working with hay equipment, wagons, and field implements.

The Draft Horse Demonstrations will be held Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1. The Mississippi Pecan Festival is held out of Richton, Miss. on Wingate Road. Admission to the festival is $6 per person.
