Bedwell-Bailey to wed Oct. 28

Miss Bedwell
Mr. and Mrs. Grady Lamar Bedwell of Jackson announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mary Elizabeth, to Christopher Carroll Bailey IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Carroll Bailey III of Daphne.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Jacob Jackson of Thomasville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy Robert Bedwell Sr.

Miss Bedwell is a 2000 graduate of Jackson Academy. She received a degree in communications (telecommunications and film/broadcast news) with a minor in management and business from the University of Alabama (UA) in Tuscaloosa.

While at UA she was a Dean's List student and elected as president of the University of Alabama's Chapter of Radio-Television News Directors' Association. She was nominated into the Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society and was an active member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She is currently employed with AmSouth in Mobile as a financial services associate.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Genevieve D. Johnson of Mobile and the late Alvin A. Johnson Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Carroll Bailey Jr.

A 1999 graduate of McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile, he received a business degree from the University of Mobile in 2004. He is currently employed with Bailey Construction in Mobile.

The couple will exchange wedding vows on Oct. 28, 2006, 2 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Mobile. A reception will follow at the Ezell House in Mobile.

Family and friends are invited to attend through the medium of the press.
