Antioch homemakers help others

Members of the Antioch Homemakers Community Ladies' Coalition have been busy creating items that will go to help people in the community in need. The women have created special pillows for breast cancer patients and for other bedridden patients, bags that attach to walkers, lap quilts, baby blankets, special lotion and attractive smocks for those who have problems feeding themselves. Items are donated on a regular basis to Almost Home, Jackson Healthcare, Hometown Hospice, Alpha Pregnancy Testing Center, Harriett's House and the American Cancer Society. Members are, left to right, Dot Harrell, Sarah Pezent, June Fagan, Carol Davis and Mona Smith. The club is looking for new members and will also help any group who wishes to begin a club in their community.
