Work above and work below

The new water tank being constructed near the Grove Hill Elementary School is silhouetted by an early morning sun one day last week. Work has progressed rapidly since this photo was made and the nearly completed tank can be seen in all directions along Highway 43. While the tank work is going on overhead, workers are busy grading the ground near the base of the tank for a new baseball field for Clarke County High School teams. This is just some of the construction going on around the county seat. Work continues on the courthouse annex and the new high school and Bumpers Fasttrack convenience store was recently completed and opened for business.
