The annual appointment of other town employees was postponed until the next meeting.

Four resolutions were approved in order for the town to be in compliance with CDBG regulations in order for the grant funds to be used for sewage repairs on Court Street.

The first resolution adopted was to adopt Land Acquisition Policies and Procedures for property to be acquired with CDBG funds.

A Fair Housing resolution was also adopted.

Town council members adopted a resolution for Authorizing the Adoption of a Citizen Participation Plan for the Town of Grove Hill Community Development Program.

They also adopted a resolution authorizing the adoption of a Written Procurement Policy for the Town of Grove Hill.

Other business

A building permit was approved for Sharon Nichols to build an addition to her home on Court Street.

Members reappointed to the Zoning Board of Adjustments included Kim Kelly, Judy Graham and Gary Horton.

The budget for the 2006-07 fiscal year was approved during the Sept. 26 meeting. Projected revenues are $1,400,100. Projected expenditures are $1,442,963. The deficit will be funded by cash reserves or borrowed funds.
