Carleton-Boone tell plans for Oct. 29 wedding

Mrs. Lester Roy Carleton of Birmingham announces the engagement of her daughter, Sharon Lea Carleton of Asheville, N.C., to the Rev. Canon Robert A. Boone Jr., also of Asheville.

The bride is the organist/choirmaster at Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Asheville. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Auburn University. She has done additional study at Scarritt Graduate School in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Rev. Canon Boone is a graduate of Mobile College. He is a graduate at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, and St. Luke's Divinity School at the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee. He currently serves the Diocese of Western North Carolina as Canon for Christian Formation.

The wedding will be an event of Sunday, Oct. 29, at 10:45 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church.
