Chance Baptist revival

Chance Baptist Church will continue its revival Thursday, (tonight), Oct. 12 and end Friday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Edmond Charleston will be the evangelist for the week. Rev. Charley Marshall Sr. is the pastor.

Cedar Fork Baptist Church of Suggsville will continue its revival Thursday, (tonight), Oct. 12 and end Friday, Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Rev. Clifford Mitchell, pastor of the First Church of God of Mt. Vernon will be the speaker for the week. Sis. Rebecca Sigler is the secretary and Rev. Credell Bolden is the pastor.

Greater Pilgrim Rest of Walker Springs revival

Greater Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Walker Springs will continue its revival Thursday, (tonight), Oct. 12 and end Friday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. nightly. The evangelist for the week will be Rev. Michael Howard, pastor of the True Light Missionary Baptist Church of Prichard. Lureather Brown is the chairperson. Rev. Mulvoy Taylor Jr. is the pastor.

Creels Chapel concert set

Creels Chapel United Methodist Church will have 2nd Mile in concert Saturday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. Other local talent will also be on hand.

Williams Temple gospel extravaganza

Williams Temple C.M.E. Church of Thomasville will have a gospel extravaganza Saturday, Oct. 14 at 6 p.m. featuring the Sunset Jubilees, Thomas Sisters, the Consulation, all of Mobile and the Humma Spirit of Thomasville. Okalona

homecoming and revival

Okalona Methodist Protestant Church located north of Grove Hill on Swimming Pool Road will host its annual homecoming Sunday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. with a singing featuring "Crimson City." Worship will be at 11 a.m. with lunch to follow. There will be an afternoon singing also featuring "Crimson City." Revival services will begin, Monday, Oct. 16 and ending Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker for homecoming and revival services will be Rev. Wayne Hunt of Meridian, Miss. Rev. Ron Giles is the pastor.

St. Peter's Feast

of St. Francis

of Assisi set

St. Peter's Episcopal Church located at 200 Hospital Drive in Jackson will celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi Sunday, Oct. 15 with a blessing of the pets ceremony. The regular church service is at 11 a.m. and the "blessing" will follow at 12:30 p.m., allowing time between the service and blessing to return home and bring the pets. All are invited to bring your pets and participate in this celebration. Rev. Dr. Robert Nichols III will officiate.

Little Rock homecoming

Little Rock Baptist Church of Gosport will have its homecoming Sunday, Oct. 15 at 11:30 a.m. Revival services will be Monday, Oct. 16 through Friday, Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Rev. Fernell Pendleton, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Whatley will be the speaker for the week. Corene Jackson is the secretary. Rev. Tommie Lee Chapman is the pastor.

Pleasant Grove homecoming

Pleasant Grove Baptist Church located at 9025 Winn Road will have its fall homecoming Sunday, Oct. 15. There will be a singing in the afternoon featuring L.C. James and Conventional Singers. Bro. John Gillis will be the morning speaker. Everyone is invited. Bring a covered dish.

Cedar Point Baptist special day set

Cedar Point Baptist Church Women and Men's Day will be Sunday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. The speaker for the women's department will be the church's own, Sis. Janice Cox. The speaker for the men's department will be Rev. Hurley James and his congregation of the St. Paul Baptist Church of Salitpa. Rev. James Chaney is the pastor.

Church of Christ gospel meeting set

The Thomasville Church of Christ, located on the corner of West 3rd and Worl, will have a weekend gospel meeting, Saturday, Oct. 21 and Sunday, Oct. 22. There will be a different speaker at each service. Services on Saturday will be at 7:30 p.m. Services on Sunday will be at 10 a.m. for Bible study, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. for worship services.

Mt. Gilead Baptist pastor's anniversary

Mt. Gilead Baptist Church of Carlton will host its annual pastor's anniversary of Rev. L.E. Bush, pastor, Sunday, Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Rev. Jesse Love of New Hope Baptist Church of Wilmer will be the guest speaker. Rev. L.E. and Mrs. Bush are the honorees.

McConell Ministries

People of any race, creed, background or color are invited to come to the feast of the Lord at the Grove Hill City Park Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Ministers are Lizzetta McConnell and Deacon Tony McConnell.

Good Hope

getting basics

Good Hope Baptist Church is getting back to the basics, with sermons on "Basic Bible Doctrine," with Rev. Stuart Pope. Sunday school will be at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning.
