Davis-Marshall to wed Oct 21 in Whatley church

Mr. Marshall, Miss Davis
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Davis announce the engagement of their daughter, Tawona Lenice Davis, to Charley L. Marshall Jr., son of Rev. and Mrs. Charley L. Marshall Sr. of Chance.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Woodrow Wilson and the late Mrs. Willie B. Wilson and Ms. Edwina Davis and Mr. and Mrs. Collins Calhoun. She is the great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darvee (Lenora) Denton and Mrs. Mary Mitchell Pugh.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Reatha Marshall and the late Leo Marshall Sr., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred (Ola Mae) Morrissette of Chance and Curphew Brown of Detroit, Mich. He is the great-grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Tharp (Carrie) Chapman, and Mr. and Mrs. John Brown.

Miss. Davis is a graduate of Clarke County High School and the University of Alabama. She is employed by World Omni Financial Corporation in Mobile.

Mr. Marshall is a graduate of Clarke County High School and Alabama Southern. He is employed by Huntsman Advanced Materials in McIntosh.

The wedding will be an event of Saturday, Oct. 21, 2006 at 4 p.m. at the Morning Star Baptist Church in Whatley. All family and friends are invited through the medium of the press.
