Woodmen donate $500 to local DHR

The Jackson Lodge of Woodmen of the World recently donated $500 to the Clarke County Department of Human Resources. Pictured left to right are Lou Boykin, Director, Judith Morseth, Representative from the Woodmen of the World Lodge and Kimberly Guidroz, Service Supervisor. See the story at right.

Woodmen of the World Lodge of Jackson donated $500 to Clarke County Department of Human Resources on Oct. 17 to assist the elderly clients in Clarke County.

DHR along with this organization wish that other organizations or businesses would become active in supporting the elderly in Clarke County by matching this donation. DHR assists elderly clients that have no utilities, houses that are infested with pests and other signs of poor living conditions due to no fault of their own. Many of these seniors have been neglected, abused and exploited.

If you or your organization want additional information about the needs of our seniors or would like to assist, please call Lou Boykin, Kim Guidroz or Iola Williams at 251-275-7001.
