'Cookin' in the Canebrake' has over 950 recipes from Marengo Historical Society

The Marengo County Historical Society announces the arrival of its cookbook, "Cookin' in the Canebrake." It features over 950 recipes. Historic and present photos with brief histories of MCHS properties and other very unique food related pictures and items of interest are beautifully laid out in a padded three-ring binder. Proceeds from the sale of the cookbooks will go to the continued maintenance and care of Bluff Hall, Lyon Hall and the Canebrake Craft Corner.

Cookbooks are available at the Canebrake Craft Corner located next to Bluff Hall on North Commissioners Avenue in Demopolis. The Craft Corner's hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, 2 p.m.-5 p.m. The cookbooks are $25 each plus tax, shipping is available.
