Coffeeville Christmas Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 9

By Kathryn F. Pickard

The Coffeeville Town Council voted to increase termite protection for the health clinic and the nutrition center.

The town's contract with Lewis Pest Control was up and the company offered two proposals.

The town could have both buildings sprayed for $140 per building every year, with no other benefits, or for $300 per building each year Lewis would include damage replacement.

The council voted to have the damage replacement added and agreed to the five-year contract.

The town has received one quote for financing the purchase of the David Wood home, to be used as the new Town Hall. The council is waiting for another quote before making any decisions.

The Coffeeville Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9 but no other details have been announced.

Coffeeville Police Chief Clint Harrell reported the department made 44 traffic arrests, including four DUIs, 20 non-traffic arrests, including four drug arrests and investigated six incidents over the past month.
