Commissioner Andrews honored
District 1 County Commissioner Rubye Andrews was honored with a retirement reception at the courthouse Tuesday afternoon. Here she is congratulated by local attorney Gil Gilmore and sheriff-elect Bobby Moore. Mrs. Andrews served four terms (16 years) as commissioner and worked for the county for 14 years before that. She chose not to seek reelection this year and Elma Averett ran for the office and was elected and sworn in Tuesday.
