Chance & Scyrene Birthday party fetes Mamie Westry
When she returned home, her dinner table was set and family and friends were there waiting for her return. Among those in attendance were Mrs. Bonner and Mrs. Yvonne Morrissette and family. Mrs. Westry says that she truly enjoyed the company and companionship of everyone who was present and especially enjoyed the visit from her son. They en-joyed some real quality time together and she looks forward to that again. Condo-lences are extended to the family of Mr. Willie H. (Jack) Langley, who passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 26. Mr. Langley, a native of Chance who retired back to his community was 75. He is survived by his wife, Hazel two children and five grandchildren. He was a wonderful neighbor who will be missed by all. Condolences also are extended to the family of Mrs. Louella (Sang) Carstarphen whose funeral was on Saturday, Nov. 4. Mrs. Carstarphen, a Packers Bend native, was 93. She was the mother of 14 children, 78 grandchildren, 171 great-grandchildren and 60 great-great-grandchildren. She was the widow of Earnest Carstarphen Sr. She too will be missed by the many family and friends that she had. Please continue to pray for family and community members who are recovering from recent illness: Carl Chapman, Dot Dotson, Nellie Galamb, Dorothy Carlton, Evelean Taite, Mamie Westry, Grace Haskew, Maxie Taite, Monroe Kidd, David Johns, Loretta Harper, Elmer Bettis, J.D.
