Coffeeville Police Dept. and 'A Child Is Missing' program form partnership

The Coffeeville Police Department announced a partnership between the police department and "A Child Is Missing," a non-profit organization that assists law enforcement with the recovery of missing children and missing Alzheimer's patients.

According to Chief Clint Harrell, "If a child or someone with Alzheimer's goes missing, any law enforcement officer can call 'A Child Is Missing.' An operator will obtain pertinent information and pass it on to the local citizens using technology that allows them to call 1,000 phone numbers in only 60 seconds. The quicker we let citizens know about a missing person, the better the chance of the person being found safe."

The service is offered free of charge to all law enforcement.

"This significantly expands the level of service we can offer without incurring any expense," Harrell added.
