C'ville RSVP hears about CCARC

The Coffeeville RSVP met Tuesday, Oct. 3 at the Nutrition Center. The meeting was called to order by Mary Dunagan.

After the pledge to the flag Bro. Al Dykeman led in prayer. He also gave the devotional taken from the Most Cheerful Psalm - Psalm 91. God is our refuge, protection and no one can take us out of His hand. He will never forget our names and will always answer when we call. The door prize was won by Debbie McClure.

The speaker was Graham Braswell of the Clarke County Adult Rehabilitation Center. One main purpose of the CCARC is to improve the mentally retarded to make decisions for themselves. They ministered to 117 people in 2005.

Aberdeen Orso and Blanche Starks served refreshments. Kathleen Dunagan closed with a prayer.
