Community Calendar Mexican cruise planned for 1977 class reunion The Clarke County High School Class of 1977 is preparing for their 30th year class reunion for next year. They are going to Cozumel, Mexico on Dec. 13, 2007. The price is $330 per person. If anyone would like to join us contact Debra A. Course for parents and grandparents set Developmental Milestones, a course for grandparents and parents will be held Friday, Dec. 1 at Coffeeville Headstart at 1 p.m. Renee Smith will be the presenter for the workshop. The course is sponsored by the Clarke County Board of Education and Title I Departments.
Flu and Pneumonia shot clinics set The Clarke County Health Department will have its flu shot and pneumonia shot clinic Friday, Dec. 1 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. No appointment is necessary. The cost will be $15 per shot. There will not be a charge if on Medicare or Medicaid, (must bring cards). For more information call 251-275-3772.
C'ville Ladies League's parade of homes set Coffeeville Ladies League will host a Parade of Homes Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person. These tickets can be purchased in advance at First United Security Bank, The Country Goose, Just Teasin' or The Town Hall in Coffeeville. Tickets can also be purchased on the day of the event at Masonic Lodge at 1:30 p.m. on the day of the event. For more information call Terri Hudson at 251-276-3831.
C'ville RSVP to meet It's the holiday season again and time for food and fun. The Coffeeville RSVP will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5 for a holiday luncheon. Everyone is invited to attend. Bring a covered dish and a small gift for a fun game of "dirty Santa."
Book signing at CPS Dec. 6 Mrs. Terri Bradford, a teacher at Clarke Preparatory School has recently published a book called, "The Adventures of Fuzzy Wuzzy Squirrel." On Wednesday, Dec. 6 she will be in the CPS library signing books from 2-4 p.m. Copies of the book will be available for sale in the library for $19.95 each.
Grove Hill's Christmas parade set for Dec. 7 Grove Hill's Annual Christmas Parade will be Thursday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. The theme for this year's parade is "All I Want For Christmas Is." For more information please contact the Grove Hill Area Chamber of Commerce at 251-275-4188.
Coffeeville Christmas parade set Dec. 9 Coffeeville Christmas parade will be Saturday, Dec. 9 at 5 p.m. Line-up will begin at Coffeeville High School. Due to the time of the parade there will be a new route. It will begin at the high school, turning onto River Street (Greer's) and proceed to the end of River Street. There it will turn around and follow the same route back to the school. There is a $20 donation fee for businesses interested in participating. Non-profit organizations have no fee. Fulton Christmas singing set for Dec. 13 The Town of Fulton will have their annual townwide Christmas singing on Wednesday, Dec. 13 beginning at 6 p.m.. The singing will be held at the Gazebo in the center of town. The food will be supplied by the town. Call Jennifer Stephens at 275-3155 if you would like to perform.
