Bolentown Pentecostal

seventh anniversary

Bolentown Pentecostal Church located on Highway 69 North, six miles from Jackson will hold its seventh anniversary celebration with three great services with preaching and singing. The events will begin Friday, Dec. 1 featuring The Lamberts, Crystal River, and Rev. Dugar Strickland, preaching; Saturday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m., The Lamberts, Crystal River, The Sullivan Family and Rev. Dugar Strickland, preaching and Sunday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. featuring The Lamberts, Crystal River, The Pitman Family, Guests and Rev. Dugar Strickland, preaching. Free will offerings will be taken. Cedar Fork musical

benefit for Carl Ollison

Cedar Fork Baptist Church of Suggsville will have a love benefit musical for Bro. Carl Ollison, a victim of Hurricane Katrina that is receiving dialysis treatment several times a week, Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. All groups, choirs and soloists are invited. Full Gospel Apostolic

honoring Pearsons

The Full Gospel Apostolic Church of God of St. Stephens will have an appreciation brunch for Sis. Fannie Pearson Saturday, Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. until noon. There will also be an appreciation honoring Elder and Sis. Glenn Pearson Sunday, Dec. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Full Gospel Apostolic Church of God of St. Stephens. Elder Theodore Law is the pastor.

St. Peter's Episcopal

feast of St. Nicholas set

St. Peter's Episcopal Church located at 200 Hospital Drive in Jackson will have a service and sermon each Sunday at 11 a.m. (Children's Church during the 11 a.m. service and each Sunday, adult education classes with the subject entitled, "A People Called Episcopalians."

Wednesday, Dec. 6, feast of St. Nicholas of Myra, topic: "Adult Receiving and Childlike Giving: Preparing for the Coming of the King." The public is invited to attend and participate.

Hopewell Baptist dedication

Hopewell Baptist Church will have a dedication service Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend as the church members will be dedicating its renovated church building which was mostly destroyed by a tornado in November, 2004. The congregation also extends a special invitation to all ministers and lay-speakers who came to share God's word during the transition. A fellowship time for remembering and visiting will be held afterwards in the fellowship hall.

Bethel Baptist Church special

Excel Nazarene Church Choir of Excel will present "A Carol To The King" (a praise in song) at Bethel Baptist Church near Coffeeville on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m. Bethel is located approximately six miles north of Coffeeville on the Bethel Road off Highway 69 North. Rev. Warren Shewmake is the pastor.

Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church

Christmas workshop set

Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church will have a Christmas Workshop Wednesday, Dec. 13 through Friday, Dec. 15 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A concert will be held Saturday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. Admission is free. Rev. Cory J. Pruitt is the clinician.

Wayman Chapel celebrates church anniversary Dec. 17

Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church located a 2877 Morning Star Road in Whatley, (Suggsville) will have its annual church anniversary celebration Sunday, Dec. 17 at 2:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Clifford Mitchell and congregation of the First Church of God of Mt. Vernon. Lizzie Brownlee is the secretary. Rev. Prospere Sainvilus is the pastor.

McConell Ministries

Good Hope getting basics

Good Hope Baptist Church is getting back to the basics, with sermons on "Basic Bible Doctrine," with Rev. Stuart Pope. Sunday school will be at 10 a.m., worship at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning.
