A bamboo trellis, built by the father of the bride, was the setting for the exchange of wedding vows.

Wedding music was presented by Tam Horton, aunt of the bride, on an electric keyboard.

As the attendants proceeded down the boardwalk to the beach, "Canon in D" was played.

The bride entered to the traditional Bridal Chorus from "Lohengrin" by Wagner.

Vocalist Tracey Nance of Moody, aunt of the bride, sang "The Lord's Prayer".

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal strapless gown of white satin that featured a pleated ball gown skirt with a mock two-piece

drop waist. The bodice of the gown was accented with crystals, glass beads and seed pearls that sparkled in the evening setting. The cathedral train was accented with an insert of beading similar to the bodice of the gown. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of hydrangea, green roses, lizanthus and white stock.

Chloe Dumas of Jackson, cousin of the bride, carried the train and served as a junior bridesmaid.

They wore formal length two-piece gowns of raw silk featuring a chocolate skirt and waterfall blue blouse. They carried bouquets of the bride's chosen flowers and wore necklaces of crystals, a gift from the bride.

Serving as best man was the groom's brother, Richard Tavis of Smithfield, R.I.

Groomsmen were Andy Cercullo and Richard McKenna, both of Smithfield.

Directing the wedding was Shores Oct. 7

Reception

Following the ceremony, the reception was conducted around the pool of the Gulf Shores Plantation.

Palms and ferns illuminated by tiny white lights and white balloons floating in the pool accented the area.

A T-shaped buffet table covered in brown silk and accented with arrangements of hydrangea, green roses, lilies and larkspur, served as the focal point of the reception area.

Heavy hors d'oeuvres which included boiled and fried shrimp were served.

Tables were covered in brown silk fabric and held arrangements of flowers and fruit.

The bride's table held a threetiered wedding cake which was iced in white and embossed with chocolate swirls.

The cake was topped with hand-painted china wedding bells, a gift from the bride's grandmother, Dot Bostrom of Jackson. Also placed on the table were silver toasting cups which belonged to the bride's maternal great-grandmother, the late Tennie Kirven.

The groom's table held a traditional chocolate cake embossed with chocolate basket weave icing and topped with grapes and berries.

Music for the reception was provided by Coconut Dave.

Following a trip to the Mayan Riviera, the couple is residing in Calera.
