In the Bible, Our Lord asks Peter a question: "Who do you say that I am?" Peter answered, "You are the Christ." (Mark 8:29) How would we have answered the same question? Would our response be something like, "You are the Christ, the Risen Lord. You are my God, my Lord, my Savior, my King, and my All. You are my last thought before falling off to sleep at night and my first thought at waking in the morning. You are the peace that allows me to take each little cross that comes my way and understand that is all in your plan of salvation for me, and that all of my worrying about such things will do little to help the situation. You are who I live for; because, if I am not living for You, then my life is totally and completely worthless and without any more meaning or significance than a blade of grass that will be dead and gone by the end of the summer. You are the One that I talk to all throughout the day when I am burdened with worries and troubles, or when I am happy." We could go on and on about who Jesus should be, but it really comes down to who we should be, and how we should be living our lives. We should take the necessary actions to put God first in our lives, which simply means that we should at least begin and end our days with prayer, and start to listen more clearly to what God wants of us.
