Blood drives to be held in Grove Hill and Jackson

Volunteer blood donors are community heroes. Across the nation, heroes are saving thousands of lives everyday. “Blood donors and blood drive coordinators are heroes,” says Paula Merritt of United Blood Services, this area’s non-profit community blood provider. “They keep area hospital shelves stocked with lifesaving blood.”

For the convenience of area residents, United Blood Services will be hosting two blood drives in Clarke County:

Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 15, at Jackson Medical Center from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Every donor will receive a special long sleeve T-shirt.
