A busy downtown Grove Hill
Downtown Grove Hill was filled and overflowing Monday due to the beginning of the Clarke County Circuit Court criminal jury term. The parking spaces in front of the courthouse and down Main Street—including the center street parking—were all filled except for a few spaces. A few vehicles had overflowed

into the parking lot south of Main Street. Aproposed downtown revitalization project will eliminate the center street parking. Plan proponents say the situation pictured is a rarity while others, including business people, say the center street parking is vital to their operations. Photo by Jim Cox
