Best idea since terrorist insurance? Dear Editor, I see in the Nov. 30 issue where both Commissioners, Rhone and Bradford have come up with the wonderful idea to build a new Regional Airport between Grove Hill and Thomasville. This is a fantastic idea. It will surely entice two or three people to go out and buy themselves an airplane. These two commissioners are always thinking. Maybe they are thinking about buying a plane for their use. This would certainly get them places faster than the County cars they are presently using. Jackson has an airport with a runway long enough to accommodate a corporate jet. Jackson’s airport stays very busy in that it averages three (3) landings a week. These two commissioners are always thinking about the welfare of the Clarke County Citizens. This is absolutely the best idea they have come up with since obtaining an insurance policy to protect the citizens from Osama Bin Laden. Unfortunately the commissioners and their attorney saw fit to decline to help the 1,300 or so residents in the Barlow- Bend and Gainestown areas with their quest to build a community center.
