Friends across the world
By Lois Davis

The Spanish Club traveled to Mobile for the International Festival where they were able to sample foods from around the world and visit displays from various countries. They were required to visit all the Spanish speaking countries. A plus was all of the entertainment.

After the festival, students toured the Ronald McDonald House in Mobile. They carried items for the food pantry and 17 gallons of drink tabs. The house mother explained that the tabs are recycled as a fundraiser for the home to help indigent families who need to stay there.

This is an ongoing project for the Spanish Club. If anyone has any tabs (from drinks, soup, Vienna sausage, whatever), they can be brought to the school and the Spanish Club will gladly take them to the Ronald McDonald House.
