      The Thomasville Tigers never quit fighting as they fell 28-27 to the Guntersville Tigers on the coldest night in 110 years in Birmingham in the Class 4A finals last Thursday night. The temperature by the time game ended had dipped down to 18 degrees with a wild-chill factor of 10 degrees.

      The Clarke Prep School Gators boys’ basketball team remained perfect on the season as they beat Monroe Academy 50-44 Monday night. Chad Dickinson led CPS with 21 points. Taylor Becton added 16 points. Tanner Tucker had nine points. Marcus Etherdidge had four points and 12 rebounds.
