Mt. Zion #2 Baptist workshop set

Mt. Zion #2 Baptist Church will continue its Christmas Workshop Friday, Dec. 15 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A concert will be held Saturday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. Admission is free. Rev. Cory J. Pruitt is the clinician.

Tompkins Baptist Church cantata

Tompkins Baptist Church will present its annual Christmas cantata entitled, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” Sunday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. The choir is under the direction of Bro. Paul Williams and Bro. Don Newton is interim pastor. A nursery will be provided. Tompkins is located on Hwy. 43 south, Grove Hill.

Wayman Chapel anniversary

Wayman Chapel A.M.E. Church located a 2877 Morning Star Road in Whatley, (Suggsville) will have its annual church anniversary celebration Sunday, Dec. 17 at 2:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Clifford Mitchell and congregation of the First Church of God of Mt. Vernon. Lizzie Brownlee is the secretary. Rev. Prospere Sainvilus is the pastor.

Spencer Chapel Christmas program

Spencer Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church of Fulton located at 718 N.E. Main Street will have its annual Christmas program Sunday, Dec. 17 at 4 p.m. The special guest will be Rev. Thaddeus J.Z. Douglas and the choir of Mt. Olive #2 Missionary Baptist Church of Jackson where Rev. D.W. Moore is his pastor. Sis. Regina Philen, youth program director; Sis. Annye D. Owens, program chairperson; Joyce Cowan, secretary and Rev. W.T. Lesueur is the pastor of Spencer Chapel.

Tompkins Children’s Choir

Tompkins Baptist Church Children’s Choir will present its annual Christmas musical entitled, “Miracle on Main Street” Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m.

McConell Ministries

People of any race, creed, background or color are invited to come to the feast of the Lord at the Grove Hill City Park Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Ministers are Lizzetta McConnell and Deacon Tony McConnell.
