Coffeeville youngsters put on holiday program at Methodist church

On Sunday night the youth of the Coffeeville area churches presented their annual Christmas program. It was held at the United Methodist Church and the title was “A Miracle on Main Street.” Congratulations are in order for each person who played a part and their leaders who worked tirelessly with them.

Getting together for the Christmas Holidays at Mrs. Neal Houston’s were her children, Cynthia de Angelo of Mobile and Gary and Carol of Coffeeville. Other relatives also attending were Jim and Charity Hudson and Wade Ballard of Thomasville, Bryan Dailey of Alpharetta, Ga., Jason, Candace and Nora James, Calvin Guy, Kyle and Paul Dunagan of Coffeeville, Jeremy, Jamie and Jeremiah Houston of Moundville and James Graham of Mobile.

Ms. Angie DeMouy of Mobile spent Friday and Saturday with her mother, Mrs. Patsy Clanton.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Edge and daughters, Jaden and Ivy Hannah of Cullman visited her mother, Mrs. Lillian Hicks and Mallorie over the weekend.

Guests of Miss Faye Cotten and Miss Jean hawk for dinner on Saturday were: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cotten, Mr. and Mrs. Robby Cotten, Kayla and Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Brittian, Hunter and Anna Kate, all of Brewton, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cotten, Greg Cotten and daughters, Cammie, Janice, Maggie and Lily, all of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Cotten of Coffeeville.

Mr. and Mrs. Lundy Scruggs will fly to Atlanta, Ga. today (Thursday) to visit with their son, Billy between flights. He is stationed in the country of Qatar near Iraq. He will spend Christmas in Panama City, Panama with his wife, Chique and son, John Paul. He will return to Qatar and will come home in June.

Mr. and Mrs. Greg Sianvelis and Helen of Northport spent the weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Jordan.

Ms. Sherry Douglas and friend O’Neal Jones of Chickasaw visited her grandmother, Mrs. Golden Shepherd over the weekend.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Mrs. Lorre Huggins Shewmake and Mrs. Dee Dee Hudson O’Neal. Both are former residents of Coffeeville.
