Hard to believe lawyers backing DuBose judgeship

Dear Editor,

I write this in disbelief after having read this past week’s paper. It is hard to believe that area lawyers are putting their good names on paper backing the person elected to be circuit judge.

Will this person allow the people that come before him to do the same, if the price is right? What kind of example does this set for our children? Our children do not need to see that you can do wrong and still have what you want. What does this look like to businesses that may be interested in our area? I know that no one is perfect, but will this person now dish out justice as it should be or use the law to his advantage?

If this man goes into office it will be a black eye on progress for the future of our counties. We need someone in this office with integrity that knows the difference between right and wrong. I know that I sound like I’m against this one person, I’m not. I’m against this kind of leadership being brought into our court systems.
