Walker-Etheridge to marry Dec. 30

Miss Walker, Mr. Etheridge
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Overstreet of Sunflower and Marshall Walker of Jackson, announce the engagement of their daughter, Christina Rayelle Walker to Christopher Aaron Etheridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Etheridge and Mr. and Mrs. Eric Walker, all of Grove Hill.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Carolyn Phillips and Dock Gartman, both of Sunflower, and Barbara Dalhaus of Jackson. She is the greatgranddaughter of Mrs. Malone Hendricks of Leroy.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Etheridge of Grove Hill, Jane Harrell of Jackson, and Frank T. (Pete) Dearman of Millry. He is the great-grandson of Nellie Marie Prewett of Fulton and Ruth Dearman of Millry.

Miss Walker is a 2006 graduate of Leroy High School. She plans to attend college to pursue a degree in elementary education.

Mr. Etheridge is a 2005 graduate of Clarke Preparatory School. He attended University of West Alabama and Alabama Southern Community College. He is currently serving in the United States Army.

The couple will exchange wedding vows at the home of the bride’s grandmother, Carolyn Phillips on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006 at 2 p.m. with the reception immediately following.
