Hunt

Earl Hunt, 78, of Gainestown died Dec. 13, 2006 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

He was born May 2, 1928 to the parentage of Walter Hunt Sr. and Annie Bell Washington Hunt. He was a member of Antioch African Methodist Episcopal Church in Gainestown where he sang in the choir and was a steward. He was a retired truck driver in the logging industry.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Lee Fox Hunt, Gainestown; eight sons, Rev. Terry (Faye) Hunt, John (Ardell) Hunt, Rev. Earnest (Betty) Hunt, Frankie Hunt, Jimmy (Rosemary) Hunt, Michael (Pamela) Hunt, Commissioner Joe Nathan (Valerie) Hunt and Tyrone Hunt, all of Gainestown; three daughters, Millie (Reginald) Mitchell, Bessemer, Allison (Matthew) Creighton, Tuscaloosa, Veronica (Columbus Jr.) Peoples, Gainestown; one brother, Johnnie (Tiawanee) Fletcher, Prichard; four sisters, Bessie Mae Rivers, Jessie Mae Kemp, Bernice Hunt, Eula Mae (Spencer) Rivers, all of Gainestown; 36 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.

The service was Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. at Antioch African Methodist Episcopal Church in Gainestown. Burial was in the Antioch African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery. Andrews Funeral Home of Jackson directed.
