Bettis

Elmer Bettis, 72, died Dec. 10, 2006 at her residence. She was born Aug. 11, 1934. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son, Clifford (Denise) Pugh, Bastrop, Texas; four daughters, Ethel (Norman) Kennedy, Patricia (Johnny) Bettis, Geraldine (Alvin) Kennedy, all of Thomasville, Madelyn (Tyrone) Williams, Nicholsville; three brothers, Wilmer (Dester) McConnell, Robert McConnell, Mt. Vernon, Willard McConnell, Korea; seven sisters, Retha Marshall, Chance, Louise Cunningham, Mallie McConnell, both of Mt. Vernon, Zeola Nobles, Akron, Ohio, Viola Alfred, Carolyn McConnell and Cora McConnell, all of Mobile; nine grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren.

The service was Dec. 16 at 11:30 a.m. at the Chance Baptist Church. Burial was in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Charley Marshall officiating. Thomasville Memorial Funeral Home directed.
