North Allen Homemakers use quilt proceeds to help needy family at Christmas

North Allen Homemakers club members Carolyn Downey and Pat Clarke flank quilt winner Elizabeth Hare. See story below for more details.
North Allen Homemakers gave away a handmade king sized quilt before Christmas. Money raised from the project was used to help buy Christmas gifts and other needs for a local family.

The club donates to different organizations, such as the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, Baptist Children’s Home, St. Jude’s Shriners Hospital and Almost Home of Clarke County. The club has also assisted one of its own members, Shirley Wright, during her time of treatments.

The club is part of the Alabama Homemakers and Community Leaders and thanks everyone for their contributions. Club members congratulate Elizabeth Hare for winning the quilt and hopes that she enjoys it.

Anyone interested in joining this club and supporting its worthwhile projects can call Shelia Rorer at 275-3984 or Lorene Padgett at 275-8480.
